All surface contamination mustbe removed. Grease and oil should be grit blasted orwater jetted. Deeper penetration must be removed bymechanical means. Any laitance must be removed fromconcrete surface by suitable means then washed off anddried. New concrete should be allowed to cure for atleast 28 days prior to application. It is essential thatFloArm Coat ECW applied to sound clean, visibly drysubstrates in order to achieve maximum adhesionbetween the coating and substrate.Apply a 5 by 5 ft. test in an inconspicuous area that meetthe owner’s expectations for appearance (Note that thefinal finish would depend on the smoothness of thesurface)Uses Features and BenefitsApplication MethodologyVer/5/Dec 2019Step no.2: PrimingPriming is recommended only for porous and dustingsurface. For recommendation please contact technicalcell of MYK Arment.Step no.3: MixingThe pigment pastes to be mixed thoroughly into thehardener part using drill machine, and then finally addbase part in to the mixed material mix the entirecontents for at least 3 minutes mechanically using aslow speed (300 – 500rpm) heavy duty drill fitted with amixing paddle. Mix till homogeneous consistency andcolor is obtained.Step no.4: Application / CoatingThe mixed FloArm Coat ECW shall be applied to thedry, prepared substrate making sure a continuous film isachieved using a standard paint brush or good qualitylamb’s wool roller or spray equipment. The optimum dryfilm thickness of 130 micron is achieved in two coats.
